Very interesting and scarce dagger this one.
No. " 1 " pommel mark ( Maybury London ) and is definitely of wartime manufacture but as it was unissued it was post war stamped to the cross guard.

Scarce Post 1940 decal drop large size Quist 66 M40 combat helmet.
Rear mkd, " Q66 " and Lot no. " DN ...", the rest of code being obscured by a paint run which is recorded as characteristic of helmets coming out at that time ( Brian Ice ).
Sheepskin liner retains it's light tan colour although a bit dry.
All tongue ends undamaged and clear (size) " 59 " ink stamp.

Likely from a military shop or depot as they are in mint unissued condition and identical , " Twins ".
Both marked on the back with the Karl Wurster " KWM " logo.
