WW2 WARDENS HOME FRONT TOMMY HELMET

Early example with 1939 dtd. shell and 1938 dtd. Vero liner.
Correct overpainted black finish with a white " W :" back and front.
This shell was originally grey possibly for naval issue before finding it's way to the Home Guard and receiving it's period black paint.
Hads applied ink numbers to chin strap " 22 A 50 W 4 "
Clean liner , top pad and strap.
