WW1 GERMAN M17 BATTLE DAMAGED HELMET

Cracking battle damaged stahlhelm from my personal collection of German helmets I am now letting go.
Shrapnel damage which lines up with the damage to the liner.
The 3 chromed leather pads are present on an M17 metal liner band.
Retains a good percentage of the original field grey paint.
This one is not a relic and as such is a hard to find item.

NOT a repurposed standard cap badge!!!
Some light polishing to the high points.
A red painted backing plate has been rivetted to the back.
Red backing is an Argylls affectation to bring on the detail out on badges.

Rare.
A style of Balmoral bonnet favoured by Scottish officers in WW2.
Light oatmeal colour wool body with green / white dicing.
Matching colour "Touree".
Tan silk trim and short tails which were often tied in a bow.

Kreigsmarine E Boat badge by Schwerin.
Zinc example with the usual finish loss to the wreath.
The hull and waves still retain most of their finish.
Nicely mkd on the back, “FEC W E PEEKHAUS BERLIN AUSF SCHWERIN BERLIN 68”.

Matched pair of officers gilded collar badges only worn in 1880 .Worn until 1883.
They later were worn by Pipers and Bandsmen.

WW2 GERMAN K98 BAYONET WITH LEATHER FROG & MATCHING NUMBERS

This is an excellent example of a K98 bayonet by ASW ( E.F.Horster - Solingen ) with matching numbers and 1941 date to ricasso and scabbard. ( 41 ASW ) and number ( 7930 ).
These same details are present on the scabbard..
