WW2 M40 GERMAN HELMET - NO DECAL - QUIST 66

Scarce Post 1940 decal drop large size Quist 66 M40 combat helmet.
Rear mkd, " Q66 " and Lot no. " DN ...", the rest of code being obscured by a paint run which is recorded as characteristic of helmets coming out at that time ( Brian Ice ).
Sheepskin liner retains it's light tan colour although a bit dry.
All tongue ends undamaged and clear (size) " 59 " ink stamp.

Fine near Mint example of a Mutters Cross on gold.
No enamel damage, bright gilding .
Full length neck ribbon.
In it's maker marked blue leatherette covered wood box with gold medal device to lid.
Working catch but lid and bottom a/f above the rear hinge, see photo.

Rare KFS set in their original leather pouch and nicely attributed to the owner.
All 3 pieces with " R.F.C. - 13th H.L.I. " etched to the handles.
Like many RFC flyers he has come from a line Regiment and they often affected their previous regimental dress as well as keeping their affiliation to that unit .
Good condition soft leather pouch with the owners name in ink.

GERMAN - WW2 - CASED - 40 YEAR FAITHFUL SERVICE CROSS - DESCHLER

Cased Forty Years Faithful Service Medal (Treudienst Ehrenzeichen .
Instituted by Hitler on 30th January 1938.
The medal comes in its original red leatherette covered wooden case of issue with : Deschler & Sohn, Munchen " to the white satin lid.
Base is of red velvet.
" 45 " within a oak leaf cluster to lid.

Rare WW2 Mainz Sports Club stick pin.
Nice undamaged enamel .
Period knurled pin.

All independent sports bodies were absorbed into the 3rd Reich National Socialist League of the Reich for Physical Exercise.
Activities of the club during the 3rd Reich period are sketchy but no doubt they had to adhere to the Nazi ideal of exclusion of Jews etc.
