93RD SUTHERLAND HIGHLANDERS ( ARGYLL & SUTHERLAND HLDRS. ) BELT PLATE CENTRE ?

A rare nickel silver badge I believe to be from a shoulder or waist belt but may potentially be from a sporran.
Measures 2 and a half by 2 inches approx.
StAndrew standing on a thistle spray with scroll below with " Sutherland Highlanders ".
Cast nickel silver.
The two rear fixings are of the type I associate with belt plate furniture .
A bit large for a waist belt so potentially from a cross belt.
If anyone knows , please enlighten me.
