WW2 " A.R.P. " ( Air Raid Precautions ) whistle on black pleated lanyard.
That's how it came straight out the house early June '24.
Possible he was a Great War soldier who used his unit lanyard for his whistle ? I've never seen one attached to an army lanyard before.
