I'd only ever seen these in photographs so to actually turn one up and c/w it's original hackle came as a big surprise, even the Black Watch museum do not have one .
Private purchase, " Hawkes & Co.London" helmet with purpose built metal loop to accommodate this type of unique to it round red hackle.
