WW2 GERMAN ARMY ( HEER ) - 8 DAY CLOCK - KIENZLE, 1944 DTD

WW2 , Stationsuhr or Betriebsuhr of the German army.
Often called a duty clock , these were used in various roles.
Marked inside" Heereseigentum " (army property) and dated 1944.
Stamped with the Ordnance Code " CXH " ( Kienzle Uhrenfabriken AG, Schwenningen on the Neckar ).No. 8233.
Also with " 8 TAGE - 10 STEINE "
Black dial with luminous Arabic numerals.
Separate seconds dial.
Complete in it's original wooden case with brass swivel feet for standing on a desk and a rear teardrop shaped hole for wall mounting.
It winds via the large knurled dial and runs well and is keeping good time but as with all old timepieces , there is no guarantee on it.
A few surface scratches on the face which could be easily removed .
It's never been opened and never tampered with.

The desk clock wooden case has had a repair.
The British vet who brought it back's, son , had given it a coat of Humbrol which I largely removed but dropped the case in the process and chipped a couple of bits off which I have glued back in place.
It comes with the sale but the price is really for the clock as a undamaged case with the original paint seems to take them to the £750/ £850 price range..
