The German American Bund, (Amerikadeutscher Volksbund - AV), was an American Nazi organization established in 1936 to succeed the" Friends of New Germany" .
The new name was chosen to endorse their all American image, after criticism that their predecessor was un American.
Consisting only of American citizens of German descent , it's aim was to promote Nazi Germany in a more favourable light.
