Very good example with all respirator parts nicely dated and maker mkd. .
All 1939 inc the haversack apart from the canister which is 1941.
Face retains it's tan colour and has'nt darkened.
Canister with almost all it's original khaki / green paint.
Soldiers name inside the haversack.

From a collection of direct family purchase items belonging to a WW2 Captain in the Highland Light Infantry, ( name to buyer ).
Thick bamboo with a varnish / lacquer finish.
The cane is typical of the type used by officers especially in hot climates, in this case North Africa and Italy.

Beautifully inscribed with " Henry S ( Scrymgeour ) Wedderburn - 17th Regiment "
Earl Henry Scrymgeour Wedderburn is recorded as a Captain in the 17th of Foot in 1858 and was 9th Earl of Dundee..
Age toned and uncleaned since the 19th century.
Has a fixing for a padlock and a stout ring for attaching a leash.
