Stunning example of a Gordon highlanders officers cap badge.
Edinburgh silver hallmarks for 1938. Stamped “T.E.” ( This. Ebbuts). Raised tablet with “WM Anderson & Sons Edinburgh & Glasgow”.
Good detail with slight polishing to the “ BY DAND” scroll.
Silver lugs.
Heavy badge. Bought along with a Gordons sgian dhu from the officers step son.

Exotic fruit wood cigar box.
Argylls cap badge beautifully hand engraved to the lid.
Light coloured wood.

This is one of many items I got from the house of a Argylls officer who served inter war and WW2 inc .5 years in Shanghai with the British Legation and ended the war in Berlin and was post war involved with the Nuremburg trials.
