ARGYLL & SUTHERLAND HIGHLANDERS - SILK BANNER - BANDSMANS DRAPE - HONG KONG

Beautiful and rare Regimental banner. or possibly a bandsmans drape ?
I believe this dates to 1950 / 51 but may well be earlier. Made of Chinese silk with beautifully hand embroidered overlaid detail of Boars Head and " Tail Up " Cat suggesting it may be earlier and with the Princess Louise cypher and " 91 " (St ) and " 93 " (Rd ).

White Waffenfarbe for Infantry.
All original insignia with metal cockade and roundel and silvered army eagle , this with some of the original silvered finish present.

WW2 M40 GERMAN HELMET - NO DECAL - QUIST 66

Scarce Post 1940 decal drop large size Quist 66 M40 combat helmet.
Rear mkd, " Q66 " and Lot no. " DN ...", the rest of code being obscured by a paint run which is recorded as characteristic of helmets coming out at that time ( Brian Ice ).
Sheepskin liner retains it's light tan colour although a bit dry.
All tongue ends undamaged and clear (size) " 59 " ink stamp.
