Very heavy cast silver ( 48 grams approx ) officers cap badge dating to the 1st year of the Great War.
1914 B/ham silver hallmarks and maker stamp " B & P " ( Brent & Parker ).
Diamond cut giving it a nice " Glittery " effect.

Details in high, sharp relief.

Outstanding badge I bought decades ago , never tampered with or enhanced, exactly as it came to me from the family.
W/m , fully fretted centre. Nicely shaped for wear on the Tam O Shanter.
Red felt behind the centre to show off the fretting and c/w it's WW1 TOS Regimental tartan patch which has been shaped and fringed round the badge.

One Look original .
Kriegsmarine U-Boat Badge By Friedrich Orth in zinc. The reverse of the badge is marked “FO” for Friedrich Orth, Wein.
Vertical needle pin and soldered catch, measuring 39mm x 49.7mm.
Most of the original gilding is gone as is usual with zinc badges nevertheless this is a good example from the late war with nice aged patina and no damage or repairs.
