Kriegsmarine U-Boat Badge By Friedrich Orth in zinc. The reverse of the badge is marked “FO” for Friedrich Orth, Wein.
Vertical needle pin and soldered catch, measuring 39mm x 49.7mm.
Most of the original gilding is gone as is usual with zinc badges nevertheless this is a good example from the late war with nice aged patina and no damage or repairs.

Beautiful early officers badge attributed to Brigadier Lancelot Merivale Gibbs, D.S.O., M.C.M.I.D. ( 4 ).
