WW1 - 1915 SINGLE PRINCESS MARY TIN - FROM COMPLETE UNISSUED BOX OF 12 C/W CONTENTS
This was an amazing find for me !
A complete box of 12 gift tins with their contents.
Straight out a WW1 Black Watch C.O's house , held in storage since the Great War.
All soldiers were entitled to their Xmas tin irrespective of whether they were hospitalised, P.O.W. etc and a stock was held by their unit for their return , unfortunately all did'nt make it back.
This is as mint as you can get especially in light of being 110 years old.
The outer card box is in excellent condition with no tears or damage.
There are card sheets between each layer.
The tins themselves have no aging, I thought they were Daily Mail copies to start with !
As per the 1915 issue they have the bullet pencil in it's slotted card and Xmas card but no cigarettes / tobacco as that was only in the 1914 issue.
The pencils are still wrapped in their paper.
It was an incredible find !
I would like to sell the complete box of 12 but as the price for that is £2.5 K , sadly that unlikely to happen.
What I am offering here are single tins for £220 each.
PLEASE NOTE - Single tin for £220 , NOT the box of 12 !
If someone wishes to buy the complete box, please contact me asap.
You will never find another in this unopened condition.
