Scarce split motto cap badge.
Space between the By and DAND as opposed to " BYDAND".
Nice age toning.
The antlers tips have been nicely teased out by the soldier, giving it a bit more attitude.
Slight rubbing/ polishing.

WW1 - ARGYLL & SUTHERLAND HLDRS.( A.&S.H. ) SUN HELMET PAGRI FLASH

An exceedingly rare diamond shaped patch worn on the pagri of the sun helmet
Regimental Tartan diamond with yellow embroidered " A & S.H. ".
Circa the Great War and there are images of it still in use Inter War, in China and Jamaica.

GERMAN S84 / 98 PARADE BAYONET C/W FROG

Interesting bayonet I forum posted for opinions.
Post 1919 and used during the Nazi era going by the 1940 dtd. leather frog.
Chromed metal parts inc. blade, nice wood slab grips.
Likely made by Move Werke and has a proof stamp as well as a no. " 23 " on the ricasso.
The pommel end has a hole as opposed to a bayonet slot which is not that unusual.

Beautifully inscribed with " Henry S ( Scrymgeour ) Wedderburn - 17th Regiment "
Earl Henry Scrymgeour Wedderburn is recorded as a Captain in the 17th of Foot in 1858 and was 9th Earl of Dundee..
Age toned and uncleaned since the 19th century.
Has a fixing for a padlock and a stout ring for attaching a leash.

A good example of a pipers plaid brooch .
Silvered finish with a good percentage of the silver wash remaining.
Stout pin of the type that is easy replaced if ever broken.
There is a small chip on the edge where it's either been dropped or has collided with something , only noticeable on close inspection .

ARGYLL & SUTHERLAND HIGHLANDER FEATHER BONNET BADGE

Good example of an Argylls feather bonnet badge.
Longer lugs as the normal badge lugs were too short for going through the stiffened band of the bonnet and also has to fit over the hackle..
Hard to come by and I used this one myself although it is a fairly early badge.
Condition is very good with no rubbing or damage.
