WW1 - ARGYLL & SUTHERLAND HIGHLANDERS SWINGING SIX SPORRAN
Very nice example of the classic Argylls Swinging Six hair sporran.
Undated as per most early examples so I'm dating it to the Great War or even Boer War period.
Brass cantle and tassle tops.
Leather insert below the cantle does not suffer from congealing of the shellac.
Full hair body with no loss.
Nicely set up bells and these are suspended by leather lace into the back of the sporran.
Back has toned to a nice tan colour and bears the Thistle trademark of Kirkwoods embossed to the leather.
