This is a good " Been There " example of the 1983 Pattern American " Fritz " kevlar helmet.
Worn in Iraq Desert Storm campaign.
Desert sand impregnated into the chin strap and up inside the helmet band.
Evidence of having been painted tan then overpainted in green.
Rough textured finish.
Crown stampings.

Very striking 2 piece example of this exceedingly rare 2nd pattern helmet plate.
Silver plated beautifully fretted thistle wreath surmounted by crown.
The detail on the thistles/leaves is outstanding and with no rubbing or damage.

Great D. S.'s helmet dating to right in the middle of the Vietnam war.
The liner is particularly interesting confirming it belonged to a Drill Sgt as it bears a decal to one side with the American army motto " This We'll Defend ", a red band running round the lower shell and a metal Sgt's stripes to the front.
