WW1 SCOTTISH FULL WRAP AROUND KILT APRON - LARGE

Now very difficult to obtain a genuine Great War kilt apron.
This one is in the correct light khaki drill with very clear date markings to the waist band " (19 ) 17 over a W.D. and arrow with the letter " P " underneath.
WW1 examples have the date over the W.D . stamp and the letter below whereas WW2 , the letter is above.
Correct white cotton ties for the period. Normally there are three sets, this one has the top set absent.
There is a hand stitched white cotton label to the inside of the waist band with lettering in black ink.
This I suspect has been the soldiers details .
Large size, approx 38 inch waist with a drop of 29 inches from the top of the waist band to the bottom edge.
Front pocket with correct horn button although only half the button remains.
Pleats to the back.
Two or three small areas of staining but no tears , moth , rust marks or any of the usual issues found on aprons from the Great War.
Fine example with the added bonus of being a very large size for the period.
