93rd Sutherland Highlanders , Victorian Field Officers Fly Plaid Brooch.
This is the scarce smaller size brooch only worn by Field Officers and above, usually when mounted.
Measures 2.5 inches in diameter in unmarked silver hollow silver with domed back.
Thistle wreath quoit , circlet with " Sutherland Highlanders " and voided centre.
No rubbing or damage.
Superb example.
Later became 2nd Btn Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders.
