WW2 GERMAN HEER KUBAN CAMPAIGN SHIELD - UNIFORM REMOVED - VET BRINGBACK

One of a number of vet bring back items I recently purchased direct from the family.
All were WAF posted for authenticity and are confirmed as good example original pieces .
Slightly curved and with light wear to the nape of the field grey cloth indicating it was tunic removed.
Army example.
C/w back plate, original cloth and black backing paper .
Nice age toning and sharp detail.

Instituted on the 20th September 1943, the Kuban Battle Shield (Kubanschild) was awarded to those who fought to preserve the bridgeheads in the Kuban region from February 1943 until they were abandoned in October.
