US - WW2 - JAPANESE-AMERICAN INTERNMENT POSTER: CIVILIAN EXCLUSION ORDER
Very rare genuine poster / flyer relating to The Presidio of San Francisco and dated 1942.
Has yellowed a little with age and has one small tear to the left hand side.
Measures 16x24 cm.
This was a poster created by the Western Defense Command and 4th Army Wartime Civil Control Administration instructing all person’s of Japanese ancestry living in a particular area of San Francisco, California to be prepared for evacuation.
Listed among the property items the evacuees are instructed to carry with them are bedding and linen, toilet articles, extra clothing, utensils, and essential personal effects.
I've tried to price this to sell .
I see them fetching very high prices from dealers and auction houses due to the rarity and historical importance.
This is in far better condition than most in the market place.
