Rare piece of headgear .
Dark blue / black body with black / white dicing.
Black wool touree to crown.
Thin silk tails for tightening it at the back as opposed to the long hanging tails.
This is regarded as the "Officer Pattern" according to research on the Great War Forum.
Good size 57 .
Did'nt sit out the war . It has light service wear and grime commensurate with use.
I've left it exactly as it came from the officers family.
Good interior.
No cap badge.
Nice shape.
Likely WW1 although both wars , the bonnet was the same.
