WW1 BRITISH BRODIE HELMET - COMPLETE - FS

Good example of a " Been There " rimmed Brodie helmet circa 1916.
Rough original drab sand finish.
No rubber doughnut as found on later models.
Remains of paper label to inside crown.
Oilskin liner good.
Clear red Brodie stamp inside the liner.
Chin strap complete but dry.
Strap has ( size ) " 6 ( & ) 3/4 stamped to the leather.
Some moth to woollen crown pad.
Shell with maker stamp " F S " ( Thos. Firth - Sheffield ) and " 14 / ? ".
Shrapnel or bullet impact / dent to front so did'nt sit out the war this one !!
Great looking untouched original.
