Extremely rare Chaplain 's Tam O Shanter bonnet.
Royal Scots Regimental tartan patch with a period sewn on blackened Chaplains badge with Ludlow London makers details to back .
Badge with very sharp detail and some original black finish remaining , this more obvious on the back.
The bonnet is an Anderson made one with their details on a label sewn to the inside lining.
This label has " By Appt. to the Late George V."
This dates it to WW2 as A Royal Warrant holder may use the title for 5 years after the death of, in this case, King George V who died in 1936.
No moth or damage.
Good size 57 approx.
Tan bow to the back.
Wool touree.
Chaplains wartime items rarely turn up and to get one for the Royal Scots chaplain , well try and find another !
