WW1 OR EARLIER LOVAT SCOUTS OFFICERS BONNET
A rare Great War era Balmoral bonnet worn by the Lovat Scouts.
I saw photos of this bonnet being worn by the owner / officer however the photograph album has gone off to the Highlanders museum.
Direct family purchase.
This one is has a small crown with high sides and large touree as they wore during that period.
Hand knitted and carded black wool body.
Black / white dicing.
Black cotton lined.
Silk tails.
This bonnet is in very good original condition, it obviously has some service wear but no moth or damage. Size approximately 56.
