WW1 - GERMAN EAST AFRICA CAMPAIGN - ASGARI POLIZEI TRUPPE FEZ BADGE - ATTRIBUTED

This is an other ranks German East Africa native Asgari volunteer soldiers Tarbusch (fez) eagle.
This type worn solely by the East African Polizeitruppe in WW1.
It has the distinctive large gilded metal eagle of the Polizeitruppe as opposed to the smaller white metal version for the Schutztruppe askaris.
What is especially interesting is the original hand written note attached to the back by a soldier of the 9th South African Infantry ( named ) who took this as a trophy which was later presented to an officer ( named ).
One Look original, as it came to me.
Old polish residue to front.
Surface verdigris to some of the wing tips.
Attached to a shaped piece of leather or strong card. This I believe is period done as it's commensurate with the eagle.
Exceedingly rare item.
