2ND. BTN , ARGYLL & SUTHERLAND HLDRS. - 1939 - INDIA SERVICE SUN HELMET BADGE

Extremely rare.
This is the o/r's version in w/m , there was a gilded version for officers and I have also encountered a silver version.
NOT ! the centre from an argylls badge , this is a purpose made piece.
Very sharp well defined detail with fretted centre.
North & south lugs .
Old polish rsidue .
Worn on the white solar topee by the 2nd Btn while on service in India circa 1939.
Near impossible to find an original one of these.
