Early war, top quality example.
Both the eagle and the wreath- are struck from nickel silver, with very sharp detail and burnished finish.
Slight service wear to high points and edges.
The wreath retains most of its silver frosted finish on both the front and back,
The reverse has a clear incised maker mark, with the initials “B&N L” ( Berg & Nolte - Lüdenscheid ).
The hardware and rivets on this badge are textbook, intact, and untouched, with a barrel hinge, and a round wire pin and catch.
