BRITISH BULLION WOUND STRIPE - WW2 - ATTRIBUTED

Re introduced in WW2 as a strip of Russia bullion wire braid on khaki cloth as opposed to brass stripes for the Great War.
There does not seem to be a general consensus on whether whese were worn by officers in the Great War or were introduced in this form for WW2.
This one however is directly attributable to a British officer badly injured in WW2.
