WW2 RAF / SOE - ESCAPE & EVASION COMPASS

Good example of the standard half inch brass escape compass.
Developed by Christopher Clayton Hutton at MI9. Black painted cylindrical brass case/body which retains a good percentage of the original black finish.
Magnetized 'star' rotor and luminous dots to indicate North and South.
Glass cover with bevelled edge.
