Beautiful piece with Edinburgh silver hallmarks for the first year of the Great War.
Carved bog oak handle with silver studs and Princess Louise cypher.
Foiled citrine to top.
Broad early shape .
Leather covered wood scabbard with Celtic mounts.
Owners initials , " E.G.L." jeweller inscribed to back.
Clipped back steel blade in good shape for being over 110 years old. Slight pitting on the leg side of the blade due to sweat.
Now extremely hard to find clean untouched examples like this.
