VINTAGE 1973 DTD. ARMY PIPERS G10 DIRK - MATCHING NUMBERS

Genuine army issue pipers dirk.
1973 dtd. to the top scabbard mount and with stores no. 973 - 6900.The same details are applied to the blade ricasso. Matching date and numbers.
Carved wood handle with silvered studs.
Nickel silver fittings.
Pommel with raised Kings Crown.
Leather covered wood scabbard. Note ; near the bottom the piper has applied a small piece of black tape I'm presuming is to cover a tear in the leather ?
Clean steel clipped back blade with no darkening , pitting and with a good point.
Nice tight fit between the dirk and scabbard.
Nice to see a traditional construction dirk as by the '80's even Wilkinson were starting to introduce composite handles and plastic scabbards as opposed to using wood and leather.
