264 ( SCOTTISH ) BEACH GROUP UNIT FLAG

One off item to the " Beach Commandos ".
This is the actual unit flag which is in overall good condition but has seen use with wind and weather affected with some light fraying to the flying end.
Triangular shape with rounded end
47” x 54” inches across.
Still with it's toggle rope.
2 piece.
Very rare

264th was a Scottish Beach Group.
It was part of the Territorial Army 1947-52.
One book has it created in 1945 for the invasion of Japan
Another has it created in 1956-1957 (later to become Port Task Force) to carry on the WWII beach groups role.
