Straight from the vets family. Text book helmet. Early type eagle. Double named, once to skirt and the other to liner. Also unit markd and large stencilled 5 to crown next to the dome stamp. Maked and dated brown chin strap. Double banded liner. ET 62 in block script. Batch no. 4192.
Brian Rice's helmet code book confirms this helmet left the factory in 1939 as a double decal Luft, block script, double banded liner and was a size 62, so nothing changed on this "One Look" helmet.
Not cheap but you can have peace of mind with this sleeper.
