South African made helmet as issued to the 8th Army in large numbers.
Has the distinctive 3 holes at the back of the apron for attaching a neck flap.
Overpainted in a thick textured dark camo / overpaint as often seen in helmets once they moved into the Italian Theatre. Evidence of the original issue desert tan paint underneath.
